I have always been an entrepreneur and developed many company concepts but construction and real estate development have been my passion over the last 30 years.  My companies have built-out over 500 homes and many commercial development projects throughout Maryland (with many in Worcester County), Virginia, New York and Florida.  I have been involved in every phase of construction both residential and commercial to include land acquisition, plan development, zoning hearings, permitting, design, real estate brokerage and project management.  

 

My education background includes both undergraduate degree in Communications from Florida State University and graduate MBA (Concentration in Finance) from Virginia Tech University.    

 

My most fulfilling accomplishment is my family.  My wife Catherine and I have been together for 32 years and raised 4 children to include 3 daughters Christina (Law School Graduate and Law Clerk in Worcester County), Cassidy (Childhood Broadway Star and graduate of performing arts LaGuardia High School in Manhattan, NY & College Student) and Chelsea (Currently studying Journalism in College) and my son Timmy (Civil Engineering Degree from University of Maryland). Timmy has taken over the day to day operations of my businesses and allowed me to have the time and opportunity to run for Commissioner and serve my district.  My experiences both professional and personal will allow me to understand the issues facing our District and County.

Being a small business owner all my adult life has given me the opportunity to truly understand the responsibility and work ethic needed for success. Other components include working through economic cycles,  regulatory hurdles and through a more and more litigious environment.
